OurHubbubhas plenty of background choices, organized by theme, like wedding, baby or sports and also by color scheme. You can also use a photo or image of your own as a background by using an empty layout and then applying a photo to it. The OurHubbub photo book software is the most flexible of the popular publishers when it comes to layouts. They provide layout templates with frames for photos and text, just like other publishers. But they allow you to move and resize those frames on the page, giving you almost unlimited layout options. The only limitation is that you cannot place photos at an angle. If you place a photo in a frame that is too large, you can move the photo around to determine which part of the image is displayed.
You can add a border and a frame to the photos in your book. You can choose the width and solid color of the border. You get to pick a frame from a selection of different colors and textures and you can also set the width. OurHubbub also lets you add digital “stickers” to your pages when you make your photo book. There is a selection of text, graphics, shapes and photo corners that you can add to your book. They are organized by themes that match OurHubbub’s photo book templates.
Photo Book Sizes and Covers
OurHubbub is a little limited when it comes to book sizes. They only have standard 8.5 x 11 and a smaller 8 x 8 square books. They are also slightly more expensive for a standard book than Picaboo or Shutterfly at $34.99 but they do let you have 22 pages for that price instead of the 20 allowed by the others. You also have to pay an extra $5 if you want to create a custom cover using your own photo or image on a 8.5 x 11 book (no charge on 8 x8 books). All covers are printed hardcovers, there are no leather or fabric covered options.
