Shutterfly’s website does have some helpful videos and how-to guides but I think that they could offer more help on how to use individual functions of the design software and some more tutorials. They do have a knowledge base that answers common questions and also allows you to submit questions to Shutterfly support. They also offer telephone and email support during normal business hours.
Shutterfly is also currently piloting a Live Chat support feature which will hopefully be available soon. I thought that the support information was a little difficult to find because there is no link to it from the photo book creation pages. You have to go back to the home page and the support links are in small text all the way down at the bottom of the page. A more prominent support link would be helpful.
Shutterfly users have a great online community of photo book enthusiasts who share their books so that you can get some great ideas. They also have a blog that gets updated regularly and features some great advice and ideas for photo books.

Overall, Shutterflyis the best choice for most photo books. The only type of book they aren’t great for is very high-end luxury books. Their offerings are more than enough for even most wedding photo books but if you want lay flat bindings and luxury covers, you should check out Picaboo.
