Planning your Photo Memory Book

Usually you will want to arrange your pictures in a photo memory chronologically, so try to select pictures that show a progression from the beginning to the end of the period that you are covering. For a biography book, you probably won’t be able to get as many older photos as more recent ones, but at least try to get a few from childhood and teenage years. Look for backgrounds and themes that suit the people you are portraying. For a biography or heritage book for a parent or grandparent, look for rich-colored traditional themes and calligraphy fonts. For a year in the life of a baby or child, look for fun pastel colored backgrounds and ‘handwriting’ style fonts. Make sure you caption each photo with the date, place and names of the people in the pictures.

Leather covers are a great choice for photo memory books because leather is longlasting and hardwearing, as well as very attractive. Picabooand Shutterflyoffer 8.5 x 11 books with leather die-cut covers for $39.99 including 20 pages.
